Andy is officially a Kindergartener! Monday August 25, 2008 was his first day of school, just a brief 90-minute orientation of sorts that started with an address from Mrs. Lawson, the principal at Fisher Elementary, and then an hour or so in the classroom. Since today was also Carol's first day of school teaching at Centennial High, I went with Andy and managed to snap a few pictures to mark the occasion (click images for high-res version):

We were thrilled to find out that Andy is in Mrs. Ewton's class - she was Mitch's Kindergarten teacher two years ago and she's everything you'd want in a Kindergarten teacher: patient, caring and not afraid to push her kids to reach their potential. Mitch got off to a great start with school and we're sure Andy will benefit from Mrs. Ewton's teaching, too.
